Taylor's Chapel United Methodist Church

Traditional. Kid Friendly. Casual.

Sunday School

At 10 a.m., we gather in the sanctuary for music and responsive reading. After, the seniors remain in the sanctuary for class while all others go to the fellowship hall. Someone will help you find the right class for you and your family.

Worship

At 11 a.m., we begin worship with announcements, praises, and prayer requests. From there, we collect offering and allow our youth to share a memory verse or a song. The service will end with a prayer and song, followed by the benediction, where the pastor sends us off to show love to the rest of the world.

Nursery

Children are always welcome during worship, but we provide a nursery in the fellowship hall, where children will have their own lesson followed by a craft. Our church has received Safe Sanctuaries training. We also perform background checks on all volunteers.

Communion

The first Sunday of each month, we partake in Communion by intinction, which is the practice of breaking off a smaller piece of bread – from a larger loaf – then dipping it into consecrated juice. In our church, the Pastor breaks apart a larger loaf of bread from which we break off smaller pieces and dip into a communal goblet of juice. In the Methodist Church, we believe the communion table is the Lord’s Table and all are welcome.  If you are unsure how to participate, don’t stress the small stuff, just watch the folks around you and follow their lead.
